Newborn life
Our first three years were a fight
Finally, in year four
We let our frontal lobe die
Didn’t think anymore, didn’t sink anymore
Blindfolded taking the maze
Jellyfish in the ocean
Love was thunder and haze
No more goal, no more notion
In year five then, we merged
In kind of implosion
Caused by a rising star
Which took us away to a journey so far
Hey, unborn life
Clear as a knife
Sharp as a shark
A poetry album with poisoned earmarks
A cloud of tears
Of joy, all so wired
Endlessly tired
Life in a cocoon, life as an open wound
Then that star fell on earth
Limpid and old like a monk
Tiny, winey and strong
And so much more real than his daddy and mom
Flesh, blood, liquids and slime
Grew the most perfect rhyme
We were so rich and so poor
Nothing was left, nothing to cure
Hey, newborn life
Clear as a knife
Sharp as a shark
A poetry album with poisoned earmarks
A cloud of tears
Of joy, all so wired
Endlessly tired
The world became wide – and yes, I love my wife
